Dr. David Hashemi is a Harvard-trained, double-board-certified dermatologist with elite fellowship training in laser/cosmetic and surgical dermatology. His career bridges groundbreaking academic research and refined clinical application, offering patients advanced care shaped by the field’s foremost innovators.
Dr. Hashemi completed his dermatology residency through Harvard Medical School’s combined program, training extensively at Massachusetts General Hospital, Brigham and Women’s Hospital, Beth Israel Deaconess, and Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. He then pursued dual fellowship training in laser/cosmetic dermatology and dermatologic surgery in New York City under Dr. Roy Geronemus, one of the most influential figures in the history of laser dermatology.
During this time, Dr. Hashemi also trained alongside renowned plastic surgeons in complex post-surgical reconstruction, expanding his expertise in both aesthetic and restorative care. His background includes an internship at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, positioning him among the rare physicians trained at 2 of the nation’s top 3 cancer centers.
Dr. Hashemi holds an MD from the University of Pennsylvania, where he graduated at the highest class rank, and an MBA from Stanford Graduate School of Business. He completed pre-medical studies at Johns Hopkins University and earned his undergraduate degree in Economics from the University of Chicago, graduating Phi Beta Kappa with honors. He continues to lecture, publish, and collaborate with leaders in the field, shaping the future of dermatology.
